The School Games mark is a government-led award scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded in this way.
Instrumental to this success has been our Sports Coach Konstantina Giachnaki, who initially applied for the Bronze mark, but given the overwhelming evidence of the success in the delivery for her vision for sport at our school we were granted the Gold mark!
One of the great success of the 2022/2023 academic year has been to reach the national primary schools finals of British Dodgeball in Stoke on Trent, where we reached the 8th place in the whole country, although we were youngest team taking part. You can read more about our dodgeball team here.
We are looking forward to next year!
