Year 4 and 5 Take on Bikeability Training

During the week beginning 20th October, our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils took part in Bikeability training, learning essential cycling skills that will support them as they grow up in London.

Throughout the week, children developed confidence and control on their bikes, practised road safety awareness and learned how to cycle responsibly. Cycling is an important life skill for primary-aged children, helping them travel safely, stay active and build independence in a busy city environment. Bikeability also supports our commitment to shaping a greener world, encouraging sustainable travel choices that are better for our health and the environment.

Despite facing endless rain, our pupils showed fantastic perseverance and determination — not only improving their cycling skills but also demonstrating resilience and teamwork in challenging weather conditions.

Well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you to the Bikeability instructors for supporting our pupils throughout the week. We are very proud of everyone’s efforts!
